课程描述/Course Description:
This course introduces basic administration functions involving Red Hat Enterprise Linux within a Power Systems ecosystem. This includes installation, command line operations, graphical desktop deployment, device management, IBM tools, and system recovery. The course becomes part of a curriculum path available to students who want to focus on Red Hat. This course provides lectures and hands on labs in an instructor lead course environment, either in a face-to-face classroom or in a live virtual classroom environment (ILO - Instructor Led Online).
授课对象/Target Audience:
The audiences for this training include anyone who needs to create and manage partitions on IBM Power System servers, such as Linux or AIX technical support and consultants, Linux or AIX system administrators, or system architects and engineers
预备技能/Prerequisites:
Students would benefit from general knowledge of IBM Power Systems servers and partitions. This can be obtained through attending LX024G.

After completing this course, students should be able to: Recognize different execution environments that Red Hat Linux runs on for POWER8 processor-based server Install Red Hat v7.2 on a POWER8 processor-based server Manage Red Hat v7.2 within a POWER8 processor-based server environment using standard tools Locate and utilize IBM Service and Productivity tools Customize the configuration of the boot loader Access rescue mode
